Page Aliases

A Page Alias is a special kind of Page that gets its content from an existing page somewhere else on your site. Changes to the original page will sync with the page alias, and the page alias will direct editors to the original page to make new changes. The page alias can later be converting into a regular page, or when the original page is deleted.
The process of creating a page alias is the same as copying a page. Navigate to the desired page to be copied in Pages UI, or scroll down to the page in the Sitemap. Click on the "More" menu button and select "Copy".

On the Copy Page form:
- Change the "New parent page" to the desired location for the alias.
- Optional: Update the page slug.
- Uncheck "Copy subpages".
- Check "Alias". Otherwise, a full copy will be created.
- Click on "Copy This Page".

When trying to edit a page alias, users will have the option to make edits on the original page or convert the alias to a regular page.

Although an alias is created through the copy option, other than the alias's location within the menu, it cannot be modified after creation.
If a page alias needs to contain different information than its parent page, it will need to be converted to a regular page. Use the "Convert this alias into a regular page" button in the edit form for the page alias.
